A Variety of Truck Dealers
Some truck manufacturers have purely vacuum orientated service
trucks, built with especially large septic waste tanks and
reinforced chassis for the purpose of cleaning out on-site units.
Others will have more of a focus on the transportation of
portable toilets, with specially built frames to secure single
stall units as they are moved from place to place.

Steel cages or frames are usually employed to keep portable
restrooms in position whilst the vehicle is in motion. These can
be installed into the back of a pickup truck (with some models of
portable toilet trucks having them available as standard), or
they can be placed inside a specially prepared trailer, allowing
for significantly increased flexibility when it comes to managing
which vehicles will take part in specific toilet pickups.
Just because some portable toilet trucks have been equipped to
handle the secure transport of portable restrooms this does not
restrict them from also being equipped with wet waste pump
systems. It will however restrict what kind of pumps can be used,
with slide in tanks (with the capacity to hold between three
hundred and thousand gallons of water) being the most popular
choice.
Wet Waste Pump Trucks
Businesses involved in the portable sanitation industry are going
to need to make use of wet waste pump trucks at some time or
another. Those that only have a small number of portable toilets
to service may be able to get away with slide in tanks attached
to transportation orientated portable toilet trucks. However,
businesses that have to deal with the cleaning and waste
management from a lot of portable toilets will need full size,
sole purpose, septic wet waste pump trucks in order to get the
job done.
Both kinds of portable toilet trucks should be capable of pulling
mobile restroom trailers into position, but care should be taken
when using wet waste pumps which already have a full load in
their tank. Heavy vehicles can prove difficult to drive and with
some pump trucks handling in excess of three thousand gallons of
waste safety should always be a major consideration.
